2019 Summer Reading Program

The 2019 Summer Reading Program begins Thursday, May 23!

There are two parts to our Summer Reading Program--reading and events.

To participate in the reading part of the program, sign up online at or at any library location. Any and everyone--no matter your age--can participate.

Keep track of what you read over the summer by logging minutes online or on our paper reading log that you'll bring back to the library.

Read 360 minutes by July 31st to finish the program, receive your completion prize, and become eligible to win one of the grand prizes.

The second part of the program--events--is also open to everyone!

Children and teens have an abundance of opportunities at the library, from attending exciting shows by performers who travel around the country to creating unique crafts limited only by their imagination. And adults are not left out of the summer fun! For adults, summer at the library is a time to attend presentations and workshops hosted by special guests and talented library staff.

Some programs have age requirements, and others may require registration. Check the event guide or our online calendar for more information.

We are hosting special Summer Reading Program kick-off events at the following times and locations. We hope to see you a lot this summer!
