Tonks and the Aurors

Wizard Rock Band to Perform

The St. Charles Parish Library will present a free after-hours live rock concert featuring Tonks & the Aurors at the East Regional Library, 160 W. Campus Dr. in Destrehan, Saturday, May 26 at 7 p.m.

This is an all-ages show, and all attendees are encouraged to wear their best Harry Potter themed costumes. There will also be a magical activity for children.

“This concert is one of the kick-off events for the library’s summer reading program,” said Teen Services Librarian Amy Duke. “We’re excited about it for so many reasons—it’s Harry Potter-themed, we’ll get to rock out to live music in the library, it’s free for everyone to attend, and it’s great for all ages!”

Tonks & the Aurors performs wizard rock, a genre of music that gets its inspiration from the Harry Potter books. Often called the Bruce Springsteen of wizard rock, Tonks & the Aurors has traveled throughout North America and Europe playing in libraries, bookstores, and conferences. They have released five full-length albums since 2007.
