Cabin Fever Reading Challenge
Due to the coronavirus, schools are closed and so are our library buildings. But that doesn't mean that you should stop reading! Join our new Cabin Fever Reading Challenge and earn prizes while you're at home.
This reading challenge is for all ages, and it is especially great for students who need to keep their reading skills sharp while they're at home. All adults--and especially parents--are encouraged to sign up as well because when your children see you reading they're more likely to read too.
How's it work? You read anything you want. You log the minutes you spend reading. You win a prize after reading 180 minutes. You'll pick that prize up when we reopen, and you'll also be entered into our grand prize drawing. Along the way, you'll earn virtual badges and have the chance to complete optional challenges that might make the reading challenge more fun.
You can read books, magazines, comics, eBooks, the newspaper, or whatever else you want! Listening to audiobooks counts too. You can read to yourself, read out loud, or have someone read to you.
Complete the Cabin Fever Reading Challenge by April 20. This date may be extended depending when we reopen!
So while you're staying home and staying away from other people, give our Cabin Fever Reading Challenge a chance!
