American Red Cross: Pillowcase Project

The St. Charles Parish Library is partnering with the American Red Cross this summer to host a virtual Pillowcase Project workshop on Friday, June 26 at 10:00 a.m. and Saturday, July 11 at 10:00 a.m. through Zoom.

The Pillowcase Project is a preparedness education program for students in grades 3 through 5 that teaches students about personal and family preparedness and safety skills, local hazards, and basic coping skills.

The Pillowcase Project helps create a generation of children who understand the science behind emergency preparedness and are empowered to take action preparing for emergencies. Attendees will also be encouraged to help create a prepared community by sharing what they learn with family and friends.

Download a digital workbook and pillowcase coloring sheet to get ready for the workshop!
