Plant a Seed, Read, AND Sing!

Twenty years ago, musician and author Johnette Downing planted the seed of an idea for a singable book about seven foods for Louisiana children. That book, Today is Monday in Louisiana, blossomed into a fan-favorite read and sing along story. This summer, Johnette sings this and several of her beloved singable stories, such as Chef Creole, Who Got the Baby in the King Cake, How to Dress a Po’ Boy, and Down in Louisiana during "Plant a Seed, Read AND Sing," her delicious, giggly and wiggly concert for children.

Library meeting rooms have limited space, so come early for your best chance to get a seat.
