About

The St. Charles Parish Library Makerspace is a place for community members to explore, learn, create, and connect with specialized tools in a relaxed environment.

Trained staff will hold structured classes, hands-on workshops, open use hours, and appointment-based one-on-one sessions.

The Makerspace is designed for teenagers age 15 and older and adults. Children and families are welcome in the space, but any children and teens under 15 years old will need to be accompanied by an adult due to safety considerations.

There is no charge for activities that are part of a scheduled library program. There will be a minimal charge for materials used with some tools.

Makerspace fall hours are:

  • Tuesdays from 3pm to 7:30pm
  • Wednesdays from 3pm to 7:30pm
  • Thursdays from 10am to 3pm
  • The first and third Saturdays of the month from noon to 4pm
