3D Printing at the Library

Our Makerspace's 3D printers use plastic filament to create physical objects from 3D computer models.

You can learn about our 3D printers and other 3D printing tools by dropping in during open hours or by scheduling an appointment.

If you have an object that you want printed, use the form below to submit it to us. We will review the form and contact you with any questions and the final cost of your object before we print it.

You can submit your own custom 3D model or choose a design from a website like Thingiverse or Printables.

Please read the Makerspace policy and 3D Printing Guidelines below before submitting any files. The St. Charles Parish Library reserves the right to refuse any 3D print request.

We accept files in the following formats:

  • $1.00 setup charge per model
  • $0.05 per gram of filament used

  • Prints are handed over as-is. If your print includes support structures or rafts, you will need to remove them yourself.
  • We will try to print your model up to two times. If it fails both times, we’ll contact you to revise your file.

  • If someone will be picking up a print on your behalf, library staff must be notified in advance.
