What you'll need:
- You will supply the print file.
- All prints must be made using filament provided by the makerspace.
- To print an object, simply submit your file using [this form]. You can create designs using websites like Tinkercad and find ready-to-print files on websites like Thingiverse.
Cost:
- Each print includes a $1.00 base fee, plus 5¢ per gram of filament used.
What we'll provide:
- We provide the filament (see price list) and staff support.
- Staff will do basic and minimal cleanup of your file if needed.
- Staff will run the 3D printers.
- We will try to print your file up to two times. If we determine there are too many issues with the file, we may stop printing and ask you to provide a different file.
Using the equipment:
- To use the 3D printer, you can submit a file using this form [link to form], make a one-on-one appointment [link to form], or come to a class when one is offered [link to calendar].
- The 3D printers are operated by makerspace staff only.
Other things to know:
- The maximum build size is 10" x 10" x 10" (25cm x 25cm x 25cm.)
- Accepted file types are STL, OBJ, SCAD, or THING.
- The maximum file size is 100MB.
- Larger jobs may need to be printed in parts and then assembled.
